I LOVE this choreo, it looks amazing and is insanely fun to learn! Not to mention it’s an incredible workout!

But I seem to be having a setback: my legs absolutely DO NOT want to move that fast especially when crossing over each other (like the leg swing & cow tail), and even when trying to hit the beat with the simpler moves like the running man and polly. I’ve been working through the video for 3 days in a row now. Is there something else I’m missing or will it just come with time? Do you have an estimation of such a timeline?

Thank you! And also thank you for this challenge! I’ve been wanting to shuffle for the longest time and your explanations and teaching methods are very easy to follow!

AWWW I’M SO HAPPY YOU LOVE!!! Thank you so much!!! 😍

The biggest thing is to continue to practice. Speed will come in time and practice. If there are certain moves like the leg swing and cow tail that are still not where you want them. I would recommend taking each of those moves and spending more time individually practicing those and then try to add it will the other moves and then practice that. Repetition is key. Also getting your brain and feet to work together. Sometimes what helps me when I am struggling with a move is trying to visualize the movement in my head. Then I will do the move slow over and over until I feel like I could naturally do the movement. Then I try to combine that move with another move that I am more comfortable with, practice that slow. Then I will try to pick up the speed a little more and more and continue to build on to the moves.

I don’t have an estimated timeline on how long it will take since everyone is different. When I first started it took me a few months to pick up the running man, t-step, Charleston…I really only knew those 3 moves. I would practice for maybe an hour everyday. I didn’t have a place to learn from so it was a little bit harder to pick up understanding how to do the moves. I’m hopeful with these videos it will make learning them easier. It will always come back to practice and that everyone has their own timeline and learn’s at their own pace when trying something new. Be patient with yourself during the process and don’t give up!!! YOU GOT THIS!!!! Feel free to reach out if you have anymore questions while you’re learning. Here to help however I can!! ❤️❤️
